Got to Kansas City this morning. I had planed to play the course at Pleasant Hill but the traffic on 435 was really thick when I drove through. I did play Rosedale (holes 5-17) and Down Under (2-18) before heading to the hotel. Rosedale is longer than I thought it would be. It's not going to be an easy scoring course. I'm going to have to rely on my approach game.
Down Under is....well....tight, if you know what I mean. A lot tighter than the beginning of the back nine at Bistineau. This course is thick with trees. And elevation....if the fairway isn't up and down, you are looking at a steep drop off to one side. On two or three holes I had to spend ten to fifteen minutes searching for discs. I'm going to have to play smart on this one. Take the chances when I can....and just play for position when the long shot isn't there.
Player's meeting tonight....first round in the morning. I'll post again when I can.
