Hey....the Worlds may have helped me after all. Shot another 49 today. This time from the blue tees at Ford Park. Seven birdies, ten threes and a five on hole four. Shooting below fifty with several bad drives and missed putts makes me feel like I may have finally reached a higher level.
We'll see at the Shreveport Challenge next weekend.

Clyde Fant Mini
I played in the Tuesday Night Mini at Clyde Fant this week. Finished second in Open/Advanced with a 49....my course record. Almost everything worked...drives, approaches and putts. Very few mistakes....my best round ever. I changed two things....one physical and one mental. On the physical side I incorporated a rocking bow....it worked the night before in the back yard and it really worked Tuesday night. On the mental side I kept a "go for the kill" attitude all round long and did not let any sub-par shots get me down. One shot at a time....or as snipers say "one shot, one kill."
The mental outlook, if it works, may just be the key to a breakthrough. On putting, I'll just keep practicing with a positive, every-putt-goes-in thought process.
I may have to change the title of the blog....we'll see.
