Lake Bistineau

I've been throwing a little at work the last couple of days...backhand and forehand. Putting practice at home for a little while each night. Nothing spectacular on the driving. Putting has been good....reduced number of putters to two....Rhyno and Classic Roc.

Last night, while putting my discs in milk cartons for transport, I noticed that my Destroyer and Surge were missing. I remembered that I had thrown them at work....knew exactly where they were. This morning I woke at 5:30 and drove to the office....they were still there. Really happy that somebody didn't pick them up.

Went to Lake Bisteneau after finding the discs. Played one round. Several very good shots made on approaches. Hole 3....drive caught the moss in the "window" and dove to the ground right past the ditch. That left me with an uphill approach of at least 100 feet. I picked a spot above and to the right of the basket and put a firm throw on the Classic Roc. Faded right into the basket. On hole 8 my drive hit a limb in a tree on the right side of the fairway...fell to a spot similar in distance as my hole 3 approach. Firm throw again with the Classic Roc....hit chains and bounced out. Hole 17....Classic Roc from a little less than 100 feet....fading toward the basket when it hit moss and dropped. Would have been close.

Holes 10-12 are the hardest on this course....very much like the photos I've seen of Rosedale Down Under in Kansas City....wooded, tight, technical. Finished those three in ten strokes....not really bad, but not great either. I'm satisfied with that score.

Going to putt again this evening. Want to go to Ford Park for practice tomorrow but after watching the British Open today I may stay home and see if Tom Watson can win. He's ahead after three rounds.....almost 60 years old. Would really like to see him win.
